There really isn't anything sexy Canadian Mark Munroe can't do. He's a singer-songwriter, model, actor, television personality and is looking to leave his stamp on the entertainment world. If you aren't already familiar with Mark, hopefully this fun interview will make you fan!
1. Your upcoming debut solo album is titled "The Life That I Designed". What is the meaning behind it?
Mark: "My album was supposed to be called "The Life That I Designed" but 3/4 of the way though recording it, there was a falling out between myself and the producer and due to legal reasons, I had to leave the whole record behind and start recording all over again from scratch and the new record is called "Life Lessons" and will now be out next year."
2. When did you realize that you had a gift for performing?
Mark: "I'm not sure I've ever thought I had a "gift", more a passion for performing in every sense. I just love to entertain, and make people have a good time since I was a little boy."
3. You've appeared on shows like Last Bride Standing and 1 Girl, 5 Gays. Do you feel there are any similarities between working on television and performing on
Mark: "Yes, they are all creative outlets, although working in TV is less creative as your not making something from nothing, you are taking on a character."

4. How did you manage to lose 100lbs and keep it off?
Mark: "Hard work and determination, I spent years in the gym day in and day out, and watched what I ate, it was hard but so worth it!"
5. You're also a successful model. Have you always had a passion for modelling and fashion?
Mark: "Actually no. No one would give me a chance in Music and the opportunity came up in my early 20's to be a model and I thought, this is my way in, I'll work hard, meet the right people and get a record out eventually, but over time I really started to love it and continue to today!"
6. What led to you coming out on your blog? Was that a difficult process?
Mark: "I've been out since I was 19ish, which is now over 10 years ago. Everyone around me knew, but I had never publicly said anything either cause I thought it was a non issue. But this last couple years, there have been a lot of teen suicides and bullying and I wanted to come forward and let everyone know I was gay, so that maybe people would see that it's ok and you can do anything you want in this life whether you're gay, straight, white, black etc."
7. Do you feel the landscape has changed for out pop artists?
Mark: "I think life is all about what you make it, I am not defined by being gay, which I feel like has made it a non issue for the people I have worked with over the years, plus there are so many gays that work in entertainment, so I've never felt pressure or like I was on the outside. I have received hate mail and nasty messages from people who think that it's a disease to be gay, but I just think they are sad and need to get a life of there own and stop worrying what I'm doing."
8. What's next for Mark Munroe?
Mark: "I'm looking a the possibility of doing several TV shows, of course I am focused on finishing my next record, always modelling and there are some other really fun projects on the horizon, and I have been writing my first book for years now!"
